CARE on Capitol Hill Social Media Toolkit

Spread the word and take others on the journey

CARE is headed to Capitol Hill this October 20-21 to highlight the urgent need for U.S leadership amidst this moment of unprecedented need.

Together, we’ll urge the U.S. Congress to prevent further cuts to international assistance and protect programs that address the root causes of poverty, advance women’s and girls’ empowerment, and build stronger, more resilient communities around the world.

We invite you to share your experience on social media by using the prompts below.

Please note, as you'll be posting as a CARE advocate while you're in D.C. with us, we ask that you stay focused on speaking to your experience and what you're advocating for.

That’s a wrap on #CAREOnCapitolHill with @careorg! Leaving D.C. more determined than ever to protect U.S. international aid.

Because what’s really scary? Cuts to food assistance that push millions closer to hunger.

Let’s keep the pressure on 👉 https://bit.ly/4h5Mh72

📢 Congress must protect funding that saves lives.
